Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, born April 26, 1991 and professionally referred to as Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and is the first female artist to sign to J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. The first single, Pho was released on the 21st of October, 2016 and was released on Dreamville Records. The singer began to earn recognition. Her debut studio album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7 2019. Ari Lennox began uploading her music on the internet in 2012 when she dropped her first mixtape, Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography in 2013. The singer continued uploading her tracks online through 2014, including the independently-released single Bound. In July of 2015, she appeared on Omen's album Elephant Eyes in the song Sweat It Out. J. Cole asked her to collaborate with him for Rihanna's references. In the following year, her music was circulating throughout Dreamville.
